THE VISION
All Yemeni people have access to sufficient and nutritious food at all times to live an active and healthy life—i.e., all people are food secure.

GOALS:-

• Prepare a food map and update it with information and data reflecting status of the market and food reserves and distribute that to all concerned authorities working on targeting or engaged in interventions in food security.
• Prepare an investment program which incorporates what is mentioned in the National Food Security Strategy and include projects related to food security to be submitted to the council for approval.
• Plan and follow up the resolutions and orders of the Higher Food Security Council and assist the Higher Council in implementing its tasks and duties.
• Coordinate and streamline all activities , programs and projects in Food Security with pertinent authorities based on the priorities of the National Food Security Strategy .
• Build Capacities and improve qualifications  of local staff in relevant institutions in the field of Food Security.
• Review literature and reports related to Food Security and submit information and recommendations to the Higher Council
• Review and evaluate the planning process as well as preparation of budgets and progress of implementation and submit reports on progress achieved to all relevant authorities.
• Analyze data on food Security information system on a regular basis  to assist the Council take appropriate decisions to manage risks through provision of information related to production and prices and early alert of food shortages
